The idea for this piece began to take shape right from the start of the social confinement due to the Covid-19 pandemic. By default, my visual choices generally lean towards spatial representation in my routine drawing, and given the current circumstances, the most present space in my days has become the interior of my home.
I believe that the spatial representation of real places is composed not only of the evidence of the characteristics of the object/space represented, but also by the suggestion of its context, which is usually not so evident. This context can be obtained from the reasons why certain objects are together, or from the reasons for the actions in the drawn scenes. This work intends to focus on drawing the set of scenes, or actions, that took place in the same space – a room in an apartment – during the confinement period, in order to represent the current and global social context. Let it be the contact between my room and the world.
